Jan. 14—RONAN — Kolby Finley poured in 24 points, Natia Nenemay scored 20 and the Ronan Chiefs pulled way in the second quarter for a 78-48 win over Whitefish in Northwest A boys basketball Tuesday.

Nenmay scored 10 points in the second period while Ronan (6-1 overall, 2-0 in Northwest A games) turned a 15-13 advantage into a 39-27 halftime lead. The gap grew to 56-35 after three quarters; Nenemay, who was 8 of 16 from the floor, added seven points in that frame.

Finley was 9 of 17 from the field and 3 of 6 from the 3-point arc; Nenemay also hit two 3-pointers.

Will Sisson hit three 3-pointers on the way to 17 points for Whitefish (4-4, 1-2 in league).
