Zoopla has announced the acquisition of Newhomesforsale.co.uk, a specialist UK portal focused solely on new-build properties, in a move chief executive Paul Whitehead (pictured) says will strengthen its position in the new homes sector.
The platform will continue to operate as a standalone brand with its existing leadership team, while benefiting from the portal’s audience data and product investment.
Sizeable marketNewhomesforsale.co.uk was founded in 1998 and works with more than 200 developer customers, including nine of the top ten national housebuilders. The site supports around 2,500 active developments, connects more than one million buyers with new homes, and generates about 170,000 qualified leads annually for developers.
Zoopla says the UK new homes sector remains a sizeable market, with more than 180,000 homes delivered annually and growing use of digital marketing channels as builders seek measurable results.
The deal builds on recent momentum in the portal’s new homes division, including strategic partnerships with major developers such as Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon Homes, and claims product developments have helped deliver a 53% year-on-year increase in new homes lead volumes.
This acquisition is a natural next step in our strategy.”
Whitehead says: “We’re delighted to welcome the team at newhomesforsale.co.uk to Zoopla. They have built a respected and highly specialised business that consistently delivers high-intent leads, strong conversion rates and strong ROI for home builders.
“This acquisition is a natural next step in our strategy. Our recent partnerships with Taylor Wimpey and Persimmon demonstrate the progress we have made and the value we deliver.”

He adds that the firm has also been investing in new homes tools, including enhanced search features, affordability tools and AI-driven campaign optimisation designed to help developers reach higher-intent buyers and improve sales pipelines.
Mark Hincks, Director of Newhomesforsale.co.uk, says: “Our focus has always been to connect developers with high-intent buyers and deliver a clear return on marketing investment. Joining Zoopla unlocks audience data, insights and innovation that will allow us to deliver even more value for our customers.
“Together, we can accelerate growth and support home builders with stronger sales pipelines and better commercial outcomes.”
