We’re just hours away from the release of Fallout Season 2’s final episode, so it’s no surprise that the post-apocalyptic video game adaptation has once again topped the week’s ranking of Prime Video TV shows. The acclaimed sci-fi drama show has been doing extremely well in its second outing, receiving positive reviews from critics and consistently high viewership throughout its release window. The series has already been renewed for a third season, so fans can rest assured that this week’s finale won’t be the end of the show, but in case you feel like watching something a little different, there are still many more great series you can catch on the streaming service. Here’s a look at three great shows we think you should binge on Prime Video this week, including a hit sitcom starring the late Catherine O’Hara, who tragically passed away just a few days ago.

3 ‘Schitt’s Creek’ (2015–2020)
Easily one of the most successful sitcoms of the past decade, Schitt’s Creek was created by father-son duo Eugene and Dan Levy, who also star in the series in lead roles. The show follows a formerly wealthy family who are forced to start a new life in a small town they bought as a joke, getting into various misadventures as a result of the conflict between their well-to-do attitudes and the everyday lives of the town’s locals. Eugene Levy stars as genial patriarch Johnny Rose, Dan Levy as his fashion-obsessed son David, and Annie Murphy as his socialite sister Alexis Rose, with Catherine O'Hara as the family’s eccentric matriarch, Moira Rose.
Though Schitt’s Creek had a pretty mixed reception at the time of its premiere, the show steadily improved over the course of its six-season run and developed a sizable fanbase, concluding in 2020 as one of the most popular shows in its genre. Hilarious and sharply satirical, the series boasts some great performances, particularly by O’Hara as the highly entertaining Moira, a role that won the actress an Emmy, a Golden Globe, and a SAG Award. The show also earned several other accolades during its original broadcast, with nine Emmy Awards and two Golden Globes in total across all six seasons.
2 ‘The Power’ (2023)
Adapted from Naomi Alderman’s 2016 novel, The Power is a sci-fi drama series developed by Alderman, Raelle Tucker, Claire Wilson, and Sarah Quintrell. The show follows the events that take place when all teenage girls around the world inexplicably develop the ability to electrocute people at will, and the power to awaken this ability in older women. The series stars Toni Collette, Auliʻi Cravalho, Zrinka Cvitešić, Toheeb Jimoh, John Leguizamo, Ria Zmitrowicz, and more in lead roles.
An intriguing nine-episode drama series, The Power premiered on Prime Video in 2023, receiving largely favorable reviews from critics and an even better reception from audiences. On the negative side, because of the relatively short span, the show doesn’t quite get to develop its story to its full potential, but what it does get to communicate is utterly fascinating. It’s also brilliantly written, directed, and performed, and though it isn’t as talked-about as it deserves to be, The Power is a captivating sci-fi series that’s a must-watch for genre fans.
1 ‘Elementary’ (2012–2019)
A modernized adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes stories, Elementary is a comedy-drama procedural created by Robert Doherty. Jonny Lee Miller stars as Sherlock Holmes, a disgraced detective and recovering drug addict who relocates to New York City, where he lives with his sober companion, Dr. Joan Watson (Lucy Liu). The series also stars Jon Michael Hill, Rhys Ifans, and John Noble in key supporting roles.

You can unsubscribe anytime.Though often unfavorably compared to the BBC’s Sherlock, Elementary was a successful mystery series in its own right during its seven-season broadcast on CBS, receiving generally positive reviews from critics for its writing, performances, and original take on the iconic central character. It might not be the best Sherlock Holmes adaptation ever, but Elementary does deliver an enjoyable experience, with plenty of style, wit, and great performances, particularly by Miller and Liu. The show also received several accolades, including two Emmy nominations and a GLAAD Media Award.
